In whom we trust

Trust with the people we work with, the people we work for, and the people we go home to. Same root system.

A studio is, structurally, an exercise in trust. Two people have to trust each other enough to make decisions without consulting. Clients have to trust that the bill reflects work that needed doing. The people at home have to trust that the laptop will close at some point.

You can’t have one of those without the others. A team that’s wonderful to colleagues but absent at home isn’t a healthy team — it’s a debt about to come due. We try to keep all three accounts in good standing, and treat any one of them slipping as the early-warning signal it usually is.

How this shows up

Placeholder — concrete: no weekend Slack, calendar transparency between the two of us, partner-veto on project intake, the things we’ve turned down because the timing was wrong for life.
